I see. I think there's a lot more to be said for found family than people give it credit, really. I haven't seen my blood family in nearly half my lifetime, but that doesn't mean I don't think of my two best friends like siblings.

My parents perished thousands of years ago, along with the rest of the Alteans. Coran is the only person I have left from home. So I'm just happy to know that he's safe.

I get'cha. My world was swallowed up about 12 years ago, and my parents with it, long before this Storm hit anything. I don't really know if they died, or what exactly happened to the rest of the people. My friend and I managed to survive, along with a handful of others, but no one's really sure what happened to everyone who didn't turn up elsewhere.
Not trying to make it about me, I'm just saying I can relate. Finding a friend in stasis is better than not finding them at all.

Ah, you've got nothing to be sorry for, princess. It does suck that most of the people I know from home are still sleeping, and that, you know, the world got destroyed again, but making new friends here has taken a little of the sting out, at least.
