If Axel knew how Rocket felt about those words, he might have chosen them differently. He really means no insult at all--sure, Goofy might not be the smartest bipedal talking animal he's ever met, and Donald has his anger issues, and even the king probably has his faults, but Axel's never seen anything wrong about it. He frowns a bit, averting his eyes.

"Didn't mean any offense," he says honestly. "I used to buy ice cream from a guy who looked like a duck, when I was a kid. Never knew where he was from, but..." He trails off, figuring the remark is self-explanatory. Axel may be a selfish sarcastic jerk who doesn't know how to say please and rarely covers anyone's ass but his own, but he's not gonna judge somebody for being what they are. He's not even supposed to exist, after all.
